Why the figure means something
A banner is only worth what the number behind it is worth. These four rules are what that number rests on.
Live from your profile
The banner shows what your WeRefund profile shows, at the moment the page loads. There is no cached copy to go stale.
Reviews from closed returns
Only a shopper whose return is closed can leave one. Nobody reviews a store they never returned to.
Reply, never edit
A store can reply to any review in public. A store cannot edit one, remove one, or pay for a better score.
It turns itself off
If verification stops, the banner says Verification unavailable; while a policy change is checked, it says Reviewing changes. It never keeps showing a score that no longer holds.
