Keep Wix. Add WeRefund.
WeRefund reads your Wix orders, the refunds recorded on them and your checkout Return policy, read‑only, and shows WeRefund Verified ✓ on the product page and, where your store uses it, in the side cart.
$0 for the merchant; store access is approved in Wix when you connect your store.

How the connection works
Wix's own install flow: you see the permissions requested, you approve them, and access to your store data stays read-only.
Read OrdersYour orders, the payments and refunds recorded on them, and your checkout settings, where the Return policy lives. Your orders include the customer details recorded on them: name, email address, phone number and the billing and shipping addresses.Manage Your App app installationLets Wix tell WeRefund when the app is removed, lets WeRefund read basic details of the installation, such as the site name and URL, and lets it send Wix usage events about the app. It doesn't cover your orders, products or policies.Read Stores — All Read Permissions not requestedWix's broader read permission, which also includes Read Products. Of Wix's store permissions, WeRefund asks for Read Orders alone.Wix doesn't offer API keys to third-party apps, so there is no key to copy or paste. Access exists only through your approval in Wix, and it applies to that one site.

01
Start from WeRefund
When you connect your store, WeRefund sends your browser to the Wix app installer at
wix.com/app-installerand you sign in to Wix as you normally do. -
02
Approve in Wix
Wix asks which site to add WeRefund to, if needed, and shows the permissions requested. You approve them in Wix. Nothing is read before that approval, and if WeRefund ever needs a new permission, it gets it only after you update the app in Wix and approve it.
-
03
Back to WeRefund
Wix returns you to WeRefund with your site's installation ID and a signed copy of the installation. WeRefund checks that signature before trusting the ID, then requests access tokens with its own app credentials and that ID. Each token is valid for 4 hours and is requested again when needed.

First read, then stay current
Through Wix's REST APIs, WeRefund reads the Return policy in your checkout settings as it stands today — the version verification is based on — and your recent orders with the refunds recorded on them. From then on, new orders, refunds and policy changes arrive by webhook, recent data is read again on a schedule, and your Return policy is captured again each time an order reaches WeRefund.
What WeRefund reads, and how it stays current
Three things, read-only. Webhooks carry orders, refunds and policy changes; recent data is read again on a schedule to catch what a delivery missed.
| What WeRefund reads | From Wix | How it stays current |
|---|---|---|
| Orders — line items, dates, order and payment status | Search Orders · Read Orders | The Order Created and Order Approved webhooks, plus recent orders read again on a schedule |
| Refunds recorded on those orders | List Transactions For Multiple Orders · Read Orders | The Order Transactions Details Updated webhook when a refund is added, and Order Transactions Refund Completed when it reaches its final state, plus recent refunds read again on a schedule |
| Your Return policy, as set under Policies in your checkout settings | Get Checkout Settings · Read Orders | The Checkout Settings Updated webhook, plus scheduled reads and a capture each time an order reaches WeRefund. A change to its text or visibility is recorded as a new version and verified again, and a Return policy set not to show isn't treated as your published policy |
On Wix, a webhook that isn't acknowledged within 1.25 seconds is retried up to 12 times over about two days and then no more, so it can arrive late, out of order, twice or not at all. WeRefund checks each webhook's signature, ignores duplicates, and reads recent data again to catch what a delivery missed, as Wix recommends. Each time an order reaches WeRefund — when its Order Created webhook is received, or when a scheduled read records an order a delivery missed — WeRefund captures your published Return policy, on top of its regular scheduled check, and that order keeps the version captured for it. If your store takes payments through Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Checkout.com or Airwallex, WeRefund also reads each order's payment and your refund events from that provider.
Where the badge appears
The WeRefund Verified ✓ badge is a Wix site plugin: from the plugin explorer in the Wix editor, you add it into a slot Wix provides on your product page and publish. Where your store uses the side cart and Wix allows it, the badge can also go into a side cart slot. Nothing to paste into your site.
It shows no number: the exact terms stay in your policy, and each shopper sees the real deadline after the purchase.
In a product page slot, on both versions of the Wix Stores product page.
In a side cart slot, where your store uses the side cart.
Wix documents plugin slots for the side cart, not for the full cart page.
Wix has checkout slots, but WeRefund doesn't use them. The badge stays out of checkout.
What WeRefund never does
Hold your customers' payments
Shoppers pay through your checkout and your payment provider. WeRefund never holds your customers' payment funds.
Refund in your place
You refund as you do today, in Wix or with your payment provider. WeRefund reads refunds recorded on the Wix order and, if your store takes payments through Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Checkout.com or Airwallex, at that provider; it never creates one.
Change your checkout
The badge lives on the product page and, where your store uses it, in the side cart; no plugin is added to checkout.
Write to your store data
The one store-data permission WeRefund asks you to approve, Read Orders, is read-only.
Three steps on Wix
-
01
Create your WeRefund account
$0 setup, $0 monthly fee, $0 processing surcharge.
-
02
Connect your store & payment provider
Choose Wix, pick the site that runs your store and approve read-only access to your store data in Wix. If your Wix store takes payments through Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Checkout.com or Airwallex, connect that provider too.
-
03
Get Verified
WeRefund reads the Return policy from your checkout settings and verifies it. Once it passes, add the WeRefund Verified ✓ plugin to your product page from the editor's plugin explorer and publish; where your store uses the side cart and Wix allows it, it can also go into the side cart.
Add the banner to your theme
Paste it once before the closing body tag: it reads your after-sales score from your WeRefund profile and turns itself off the day verification stops.

API referenceThe Return policy under Policies in your checkout settings, which Wix links from the checkout footer when it is set to show. Wix's API returns its text and whether it is shown. A policy published only as a page of your site, linked from the site footer, is a separate thing in Wix and isn't part of those settings.
